Although you cannot use your points for home and club reservations, there are many other uses that your bonus points can be applied to. Hilton allows bonus points to be used to cover maintenance fee dues or be converted to Hilton HHonors points. Your bonus points may also be used in conjunction with your ClubPoints to book RCI reservations.
What Are They Worth?
In the most literal way, bonus points are worth 25 HHonors points for every 1 bonus points. This 25:1 conversion ratio is the same as your ClubPoints. So, you can enjoy the benefits of Hilton HHonors points without converting your ClubPoints. Because you lose much of the value on ClubPoints when you use them for hotel stays, using your bonus points make much more sense, in terms of value. HHonors points do not expire, so if you find that you cannot spend your bonus points on Hilton merchandise and Open Season reservations, HHonors is a great way to make use of your bonus points. Bonus points could also be worth one year without maintenance fee dues. Instead, the money that would have otherwise not been available, is now available for airfare to your Hilton reservation or perhaps something more practical at home for the family.
