Fractional ownership is a higher-tier segment of the vacation ownership market. Unlike traditional timeshares which are usually sold in one-week intervals, fractional properties are sold in larger shares, typically ranging from two weeks to a quarter-share (13 weeks). These often involve high-end luxury residences or private residence clubs.
