“Deposit First” is an exchange network rule requiring owners to officially deposit their home resort week into the exchange pool before they can confirm a booking for a new vacation. While this transfers maximum trading power to the owner’s account early on, it requires them to give up their guaranteed home week without knowing for certain if their desired alternative vacation will be available.
