Timeshare Exit Company

« Back to Glossary Index

Timeshare exit companies (or relief companies) are controversial, aggressive businesses that market to dissatisfied owners, promising to legally “cancel” or “exit” their binding timeshare contracts. They typically charge exorbitant upfront fees, often thousands of dollars. While a few operate legally using retained attorneys, the sector is notoriously plagued by scams where companies take the upfront fee and do absolutely nothing, leaving the owner still legally liable for all timeshare maintenance fees.
