Ownership Details – Seasons & Points Charts

For deeded week owners, Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club offers the following ownership seasons: Platinum, Platinum Plus – Holiday Use Period, and Platinum Plus – New Years Use Period.

Ownerships deeded to a Platinum season can book week 1 through week 50, while Platinum Plus ownerships were sold as fixed weeks for either week 51 (Holiday Use Period) or week 52 (New Years Use Period).

Each season is allocated a specific week or range of weeks in the calendar year, as shown on the chart in the expandable section below.

Marriott Vacation Club also allows owners to purchase into their points-based system, now known as the Abound program, and use those points to book vacations at any Marriott, Westin, or Sheraton timeshare resort.

When booking this resort using Abound Club Points, each travel period has a corresponding points value based on the travel demand at that time of year (full points charts shown in the expandable sections below). The high-demand seasons typically require more points compared to the low-demand seasons. Marriott points owners can use their points to reserve any available villa type during any available travel period.

Making Reservations – Booking Windows

To secure a stay at Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club, owners should be aware of the booking windows. Advance planning is recommended, as popular dates can book up quickly. Owners can use their deeded week or points to reserve accommodations, and specific booking windows are shown in the sections below.

Deeded Weeks

Owners have the flexibility to choose any available week within their deeded season that they want to vacation. All deeded week owners have the ability to make reservations at their home resort up to 12 months before their preferred check-in date, starting at 9:00 AM Eastern time.

There’s also an option to book 13 months in advance, but it comes with specific conditions. This extended reservation period is only applicable if owners are reserving multiple owned weeks either simultaneously (two bookings happening at the same time) or back-to-back (one booking immediately followed by another). The 13-month reservation window doesn’t apply to individual weeks.

Abound Club Points

Marriott’s points-based system, Abound by Marriott Vacations, provides owners with enhanced flexibility. Points can be used to book stays at Ko Olina or used to book vacations at a wide portfolio of Marriott properties and other vacation experiences worldwide.

Buying a timeshare resale at Ko Olina Beach Club can be an attractive option for those interested in owning a piece of paradise. Resale ownership offers many of the same benefits as purchasing directly from Marriott, at up to a 60% discount. Prospective buyers should research the resale market and consult with an experienced licensed Real Estate agent to ensure a smooth transaction.

Deeded Weeks

The following closing costs are typical when purchasing a deeded week ownership, also referred to as a legacy week, at Ko Olina in 2024:

• Closing company fee, including funds escrow, and optional title insurance if desired
• Marriott right of first refusal processing fee – $95
• Marriott transfer fee – $25
• Recording and mailing fees – estimated at $50

Marriott Vacation Club Abound Points

Please note that when buying destination club points rather than a legacy week at this resort, there is a significant cost of $500 for each beneficial interest of 250 points, with a minimum of $3,000.

In addition, for the first purchase of points, Marriott also collects a $300 education fee; this fee is waived if the buyer already owns Marriott destination club points.
