What Is RCI?
RCI is an independent external timeshare exchange company that allows members to trade their timeshare points for vacation days at other resorts. Hilton Grand Vacations Club members can use RCI to exchange their points for stays at another resort that is affiliated with RCI. Timeshare exchange affords Hilton Grand Vacations owners increased flexibility by using their ClubPoints to book reservations at thousands of additional resorts at some of the most popular travel destinations.
Reservations through RCI may be made for weekly or nightly stays and are confirmed on a space-available basis.
Initiating An RCI Exchange with HGV
As an HGV owner, RCI exchanges are easy to get started. Hilton Grand Vacations offers tight integration with RCI. It is one of the only clubs where you can get your trade started by simply calling the Hilton Grand Vacation Club reservations phone number. Hilton’s vacation specialists will be able to assist you in initiating your exchange.
There are two different types of reservations that can be made with RCI, with each having differing fees and features associated with them.
RCI Weekly Reservations
For a 7-night (week-long) reservation, HGV owners can request the reservation up to two years in advance and as late as two days prior to the desired check-in date. It is possible to request an on-going search for your preferred resort, accommodations and check-in date, if they are not available initially. These on-going searches can be initiated up to 2 years in advance and as late as 30 days prior to the desired check-in date. If the reservation can be fulfilled the RCI member will be notified and a confirmation will be sent to the member.
RCI Nightly Reservations
Nightly exchange reservations (1 to 6 nights) can be made up to ten months prior to the desired check-in date and as late as the day of check-in. There is currently no on-going search option for nightly reservations.

How Much Do RCI Exchanges Cost For HGV Owners?
The fees for exchanging your ClubPoints for a stay at a resort in the RCI network of resorts are determined by the number of nights being reserved. There is also the option to add a guest certificate to the reservation.

Cancelling An RCI Reservation
If you need to cancel a reservation with RCI, once the confirmation of the exchange has been given, you will lose 100% of the applicable exchange fees. Depending on how far in advance you cancel the reservation, you may be entitled to receive a portion of your ClubPoints back.

Depositing Your ClubPoints With RCI
HGV members are afforded the ability to deposit their current year’s or save ClubPoints into the RCI exchange program. The deposit must be done prior to 11:59pm Eastern Time on December 31 of the current year, as points must be deposited prior to expiring. RCI deposits can be used for an additional two year, as long as the reservation booked with this deposit has been used before this two year period.
Alternate Exchange Companies For HGV Owners
Members may use their ClubPoints to reserve accommodations available through affiliate “External Exchange” resorts or third-party exchange programs affiliated with the Club from time to time such as San Francisco Exchange (SFX), Fiesta Americana, Harvest, and direct stay opportunities.
