Marriott Vacation Club 2023 Annual Fees For Abound Members

2024 Annual fees for Abound members have now been released. For the most up-to-date information, please refer to our new article which covers the 2024 calendar year.

As the 2022 calendar year winds down, we look toward a new year and a new opportunity to plan some amazing vacations. As an Abound-eligible Marriott Vacation Club owner, you’ll have more options than ever with the introduction of the Abound program, which gives Marriott owners the ability to book at the vast majority of Vistana timeshare resorts that span from the breath-taking Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas located on the Hawaiian island of Maui to the ever-popular Harborside at Atlantis in the Bahamas. With this new addition, we did see some adjustments to annual club fees and maintenance fees for 2023.

In this article, we will cover all the changes for both Abound-enrolled weeks owners and Marriott Vacation Club points owners. Whether you’re an existing owner or just beginning to shop for your first Marriott timeshare, we’ll walk you through what to expect for this upcoming year’s annual costs.

Marriott Vacation Club Maintenance Costs For Points Owners

Marriott Vacation Club’s annual maintenance costs for points owners is simply an aggregation of all the deeded weeks that are part of the Marriott Vacation Club land trust. Instead of costs being completely variable between the many different home resorts and villa sizes that are possible to own when buying a Marriott legacy week, there is one flat rate for each annual point you own. This year we saw an increase of about 5 cents per annual point, or about $14 per beneficial interest.

2023 Maintenance Fees

2022 2023
Per Annual Point $0.62796 / Point $0.68392 / Point
Per Beneficial Interest (BI) $156.99 / BI $170.98 / BI

Marriott Vacation Club Annual Club Fee

There is also an all-inclusive annual club fee that is paid to cover all expenses for access to the Interval International exchange company, housekeeping fees, banking and borrowing fees, fees for converting to Bonvoy Points, cancellation fees for reservations, guest certificate fees, and more. Many other vacation clubs choose to charge lower club fees, but nickel and dime you with charges for many of the common features that owners use from year to year. With Marriott points, your annual club fee covers all of these fees and allows owners to have a consistent fee each year, even when they are using each and every feature of their timeshare.

This year we saw a modest increase of $15 across the board for each of the Marriott membership levels.

If you own a legacy week that was previously enrolled in the Destinations Exchange Program, you will be eligible to become an Abound member, and will need to pay this club fee each year in order to be an Abound member and receive its benefits.
