2021 RCI Benefits & Fees: Everything You Need To Know

Members of the RCI timeshare exchange network will benefit from understanding all of the features and programs offered by RCI, and exactly what each feature or benefit would cost. We have created this article to help you understand everything you need to know about the 2021 RCI fees for each of the benefits offered to members. Whether you’re looking into trading your Hilton Grand Vacation Club ownership, or the select few Marriott Vacation Club resorts that trade with RCI, we’ll walk you through each and every benefit of RCI and what they would cost to use.

What is RCI?

RCI is a Wyndham owned vacation exchange company and is one of the largest exchange networks in the world. Those who are members of RCI can exchange the timeshare that they own within this network using RCI Weeks or RCI Points. The timeshare that members exchange will qualify them to book resorts and vacations that are less than or equal to their timeshare’s trading power. To trade with RCI, you will need to pay their membership fees.

RCI Membership 2021 Fees

The two types of memberships that are available for RCI are RCI Weeks and RCI Points. Owners will make their membership fee payments in advance to use RCI to exchange their timeshare. Members will also have the ability to upgrade if they have Platinum or Gold memberships, adding extra benefits that are discussed further below.

What are RCI Membership Fees?

RCI’s membership fees are known as Network dues, and how much you pay in fees will depend on the type of membership you have.

Owners also have the option of purchasing multiple years of membership at a discounted rate, sparring the hassle of having to subscribe again every year.

RCI Points Fees

If flexibility is a priority for you, an RCI Points membership is the more flexible option, when compared to the RCI Weeks membership. With RCI Points, members can divide their points into multiple one to five night stays instead of weeks.

An example of this would be booking a three night stay one month and then using the next four days in another month and another location. How many points that you will get per year will depend on multiple factors such as:

  • Popularity of your resort
  • Season you own
  • Type of unit
  • Size of unit

As of November 1, 2020, these are the RCI Points fees.

Managing RCI Points

As previously stated, RCI Point memberships are the more flexible option for those looking for vacation variety. Owners are able to bank points for the following year for more vacation options.

In order to have this extra flexibility, owners will need to pay some other fees when they bank these points. These fees will vary depending on the amount of points that are being rolled over. These include:

  • Points Saving fee – to save points for the next year.
  • Points Extension fee – to roll points over to a third year

RCI Members will also have the option of renting more points if there is a difference in point-range for a particular resort. There is a minor fee to rent points as well.

All fees for managing RCI Points are listed in the chart below.
